History

Préstamos CDFI, LLC (“Préstamos”), is a Community Development Finacial Institution("CDFI") and a Community Development Entity("CDE") that will provide high quality small business loans and technical support services to its clients. Prestamos CDFI, LLC through its parent corporation, Chicanos Por La Causa, Inc., has administered lending programs for small businesses located in a rural and urban Arizona since 1980.  In 1992, Préstamos acquired the U.S. Small Business Administration’s (SBA) Microloan Pilot Program and became Arizona’s first SBA Microlender.  To meet the needs of small and emerging businesses and microenterprises, CPLC established several small business loan programs in the counties of Maricopa, Coconino, Gila, Graham, Mohave, and Pima.  In view of the success of its loan programs and the continued need and demand for these services, CPLC created Préstamos CDFI, LLC in 2001.
